Abris-backed Alsendo announced on Tuesday the acquisition of Zaslat, a technology-enabled parcel delivery platform. The acquisition of Zaslat, from the company’s founders, is in support of Alsendo’s international expansion and gives the business an immediate footprint in the Czech and Slovak markets.

“The acquisition of Zaslat is the latest step in our ambitious buy-and-build strategy for Alsendo, allowing us to expand the business into the Czech Republic and Slovakia and solidify Alsendo’s position as the leading Central European player in the e-commerce shipping solutions market,” said Edgar Kolesnik, partner at Abris Capital Partners.

Abris has been invested in Alsendo since 2020. Alsendo, headquartered in Warsaw, is an e-commerce business which offers SaaS and reselling delivery solutions for SMEs and individual customers. The acquisition of Zaslat is part of Abris’s plan to expand the company organically and through acquisition and follows Alsendo’s acquisition of Sendit in 2021.

“We continue to pursue our strategy of transitioning to a technology-driven business model and expanding internationally,” said Marcin Susmanek, COO of Alsendo. “This transaction accelerates our growth into the Czech Republic and Slovakia and, as demonstrated by the recent pilot in South Africa, brings the potential for wider expansion across other markets.”

Abris is a private equity firm headquartered in Warsaw that invests in companies across Central Europe. It manages €1.3 billion of capital across three funds, dedicated to control stakes and equity tickets of €30 million to €80 million.
