Ambienta-backed Cap Vert snaps up two French companies

Cap Vert has bought green spaces creation company Duc & Préneuf Bourgogne and Environnement 41 the ecological engineering firm.

Ambienta portfolio company Cap Vert has announced that it has finalised the acquisitions of two French companies, Duc & Préneuf Bourgogne and Environnement 41. Duc & Préneuf Bourgogne is a green spaces creation company headquartered in Dijon. Environnement 41 is an ecological engineering firm headquartered in Blois.

Cap Vert specialises in green space management. It is headquartered in Paris and has been a portfolio company of Ambienta since December.

“We have been impressed by the work done by Cap Vert’s teams on this Buy & Build project, which is progressing at a very fast pace,” said Gwenaelle Le Ho Daguzan, a partner at Ambienta. “These latest two acquisitions are a perfect embodiment of the group’s strategy, which we intend to continue pursuing over the next few years to build an even stronger value proposition for the group, especially in the environmental arena.”

“Both Duc & Préneuf and Environnement 41 encapsulate well Cap Vert’s strategy of expanding its geographical coverage and bolstering its range of high value-added services to meet major environmental priorities,” said Alain Capillon, chairman of Cap Vert.

Ambienta is an Italian private equity firm headquartered in Milan. The firm was founded in 2007 and manages over €3 billion in assets. The firm is focused on investing in private and public companies driven by environmental megatrends.
