Ardian has partnered with UI Investissement to acquire a stake in Theradial, a French company in the dialysis sector targeting high value-add segments in medical devices, drugs, and healthcare software.
Théradial, established in 1998, is headquartered near Nantes and has 90 employees across France and Italy.
Ardian’s growth team will assist the firm in maintaining its market position, strengthening its medicinal products businesses, and increasing the market penetration of its digital division, according to a release.
“We have followed the company’s growth closely over the past five years, and we have seen its full potential, driven by a skilled management team that we are delighted to now work alongside,” said Alexis Saada, head of growth and managing director, Ardian.
UI Investissement led a first transaction together with Théradial’s existing management team in 2017.
Paris-based UI Investissement is an independent firm that focuses on the development of unlisted French companies. The firm manages around €1.5 billion of assets.
Ardian is a private investment house with $140 billion of assets on behalf of more than 1,400 clients globally. The Paris-headquartered firm has over 1,000 employees, operating across 16 offices in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Middle East.
