LDC-backed Wifinity picks up Vital WiFi

Wifinity, backed by LDC, has acquired Vital WiFi, a broadband company in the offshore market. No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

“The acquisition provides a unique opportunity to expand into new, complimentary markets, while gaining a raft of new product features and industry expertise to help drive our continued growth in the UK and now offshore,” said Costas Demetriou, CEO of Wifinity.

Wifinity is a wireless internet service provider based in London, UK.

LDC is the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, headquartered in London. The firm has a UK-wide network of regional offices.
