Polaris picks up majority stake in Sealing System

Polaris has acquired a majority share in Sealing System, a Scandinavian supplier of intralogistics and full-scope automated packaging and palletising lines.

Sealing System is based in Grindsted, Denmark. The company has around 155 employees at its facilities in Denmark, Norway, and Belgium.

Sealing System reported average annual revenue growth of 25 percent since 2019. The company saw revenue of over DKr 200 million (€26.84 million; $29.52 million) in 2022 with an EBITDA of DKr 20 million, according to a release.

“We look forward to cooperating closely with management and employees to reach more customers with Sealing System’s solutions and continue the growth in the coming years,” said Allan Bach Pedersen, partner at Polaris.

Sealing System will strengthen the board of directors as part of the transaction.

Ib Nykjær, a board professional and previous CEO of SFK Leblanc and Tetra Pak Hoyer Equipment, will join the board as chair, the release added.

Polaris is a Nordic investment company that invests in and provides capital to medium-sized companies in the Nordics. The firm is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and has invested in 51 companies and completed 98 add-on investments. It has generated total revenue of over €750 million.
