Abris Capital Partners announced on Tuesday that it has supported its portfolio company Alsendo in buying a majority stake in Innoship. Innoship is a Romanian Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery management platform. The deal is aimed to help drive Alsendo’s transition from reselling into a tech-driven, SaaS-focused business model.
Innoship, headquartered in Bucharest, was founded in 2019 and provides technology services that optimise last-mile management through data intelligence for over 200 medium and large retailers in Europe. Abris has been invested in Alsendo, the corporate brand of apaczka.pl, sendit.pl, zaslat.cz, and innoship.com, since 2020. The company is a technology shipping services business headquartered in Warsaw.
The purchase of Innoship follows the purchases of Zaslat, a tech-enabled parcel delivery company, in September 2022, and Sendit, a parcel delivery platform, in 2021.
“We will continue to capitalise on the strong growth of the underlying e-commerce sector in Europe, as well as investing in the technology platform and pursuing international expansion, as we seek to grow Alsendo further,” said Edgar Kolesnik, partner at Abris Capital Partners.
Abris is an ESG transformation focused private equity firm that invests in mid-market companies in Central Europe. It was founded in 2007, is based in Warsaw and has investment capital of almost €1.3 billion.
