Ambienta’s Collingwood acquires Indigo

Collingwood Lighting Group, a platform company of Ambienta, has acquired Indigo, a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of LED luminaires. No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

Indigo is headquartered in Sprimont, Belgium.

Indigo’s co-owners Sebastien Dumont and Olivier Lapiere have re-invested alongside Ambienta as part of the transaction.

Collingwood’s acquisition of Indigo marks its second acquisition after Nobile in July 2022.

This acquisition will bring significant synergies in the areas of product cross sell, R&D collaboration, and procurement, according to a release.

“Indigo joining our group represents another significant step towards our strategic ambition to create a market leading pan-European player in the lighting sector,” said Matthew Norrington, private equity partner at Ambienta.
