Armen will make a minority investment in RGreen Invest, an independent French investment company that invests in energy transition infrastructure projects.
RGreen Invest is based in Paris, France and has more than €1.9 billion under management.
Armen’s minority investment will represent up to 15 percent of RGreen’s capital by 2024, according to a release.
Armen’s investment is its first from its newly launched fund, which announced a first close of €150 million last month, the release added.
The transaction is subject to relevant regulatory approval.
RGreen Invest aims to increase its assets under management five-fold by 2030 with this investment, the release said.
RGreen will also use the capital to invest more in its funds alongside its LPs and to accelerate its international expansion.
Armen will not be on the investment committee and RGreen will control strategic decisions.
Armen, based in Paris, France, invests in European alternative investment companies and supports their growth through GP stake transactions. The firm is regulated by Autorité des Marchés Financiers as a portfolio management company since 2022.
