Aurelius-backed Unilux snaps up HBI Holz-Bau-Industrie

Unilux, a portfolio company of Aurelius Equity Opportunities, has announced the acquisition of HBI Holz-Bau-Industrie.

No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

HBI is headquartered in Rotenburg an der Wümme, Germany. The company has more than 130 employees and is active across the DIY, building materials trade, contract business, system construction, carpentry/craft and building sectors.

HBI’s addition will strengthen Unilux market position in the DACH region, according to a release.

“We will embark on a trustful partnership-journey of two companies that will henceforth jointly set new accents in terms of quality, product portfolio and service promise for high-quality window, door and facade solutions,” said Konrad Eltz, MD of Unilux.

Aurelius Equity opportunities is a member of Aurelius Group. Aurelius is a pan-European alternative investment firm based in Grunwald, Germany.

Unilux is a German producer of window and door products for private households with a customer base in the DACH region, as well as in the US.

The company is headquartered in Salmtal, Germany and has over 300 employees.
