Blue Point Capital Partners portfolio company Stax announced on Wednesday the acquisition of London-based AMR International.
AMR is a global strategy consulting firm working in buy and sell-side commercial due diligence across the technology, information, media and events industries. Expanding in the UK and Europe has been a key part of Stax’s growth plan and AMR’s position and services offering made it the ideal inaugural acquisition for Stax, according to Blue Point.
Stax, headquartered in Boston, is a global management consulting firm serving corporate and private equity clients across a range of industries, including software and technology, healthcare, business services, industrial, consumer and retail, and education.
“Geographic expansion through M&A is a key growth driver and an important component of our long-term strategy for Stax, and AMR’s reputation and presence in the UK is a true enhancement to the platform,” said Blue Point partner Jeff Robich.
Blue Point is a private equity firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. The firm manages over $1.5 billion in committed capital across its second, third and fourth institutional funds. It invests in lower middle-market companies in the industrial and business services sectors with $30 million to $300 million in revenue.
