Chequers Capital snaps up Somacis from Green Arrow

Chequers has made the acquisition via its Chequers Capital XVII FPCI fund.

Chequers Capital has acquired Italian designer and printed circuit board manufacturer, Somacis Graphic Group, from Green Arrow Capital along with the company’s management team. Chequers made the acquisition via its Chequers Capital XVII FPCI fund, buying the company from Green Arrow’s Private Equity Fund 3.

Somacis, headquartered in Ancona, Italy, designs and manufactures printed circuit boards targeting advanced technological applications across end markets including aerospace and defence, telecom infrastructure, industrials, IT, automotive/EV and medical devices. The company has a global production footprint with five manufacturing facilities in Italy, the UK, US and China. The group reported sales of approximately €144 million in 2021.

Chequers is one of the oldest private equity investment firms in Europe having been founded in Paris in 1972. It has over €2 billion in assets under management.

Green Arrow Capital is an alternative investments group that invests across clean energy and infrastructure, real estate, private equity and private credit. It was established in 2012, manages over €2 billion in assets under management and is headquartered in Rome.
