Clearwater International has announced the appointment of Christopher Jones as a managing partner and head of its London office. Jones will lead the development of the company’s 35-strong team in the city.
Fellow managing partner Marcus Archer will expand his leadership role to work alongside UK CEO Mark Taylor. Archer will devote more time to leading private equity coverage internationally alongside driving the sector focused approach to M&A across the UK.
Clearwater also announced it is to move to a larger London office, moving from Covent Garden to the Strand.
The appointment of Jones and office move supports the growth of Clearwater’s UK presence. Clearwater International advised on 68 transactions worth a combined €4 billion in the financial year ending March 2022. In the same period the UK team advised on 23 buyouts and 18 private equity exits in Europe.
Jones joins Clearwater from the global consumer team of Houlihan Lokey, which he joined in 2013. He began his career at EY before spending eight years at Arrowpoint Advisory.
Clearwater International focuses on providing corporate finance advice for mid-market private equity transactions and is headquartered in Birmingham in the UK. The business has 16 offices across Europe, North America and Asia.
