CNP and Sienna in exclusive talks to buy ECT group from Chequers Capital

Compagnie Nationale à Portefeuille (CNP) and Sienna Private Equity entered exclusive negotiations with Chequers Capital to buy a majority stake in ECT Group alongside the company’s management team.

ECT Group is headquartered in Paris and was founded in 1998. The company upcycles inert soils for the environmental needs of the construction industry. It is mainly active in France and aims to expand its geographical footprint under the Landify brand through its subsidiaries in Germany, Switzerland and the US.

CNP is a Belgian mid-market investment company with net assets of approximately €3 billion. It is based in Loverval and is exclusively controlled by the Frère family.

Sienna is based in Paris and invests in mid-market European companies operating across the leisure, business services, healthcare, operational real estate and niche industrials sectors.

The seller, Chequers, is one of the oldest private equity investment firms in Europe having been founded in Paris in 1972. It has over €2 billion in assets under management.
