Consilium has announced the sale of its majority stake in GMM Group to Biesse. The enterprise value of the transaction is €86.5 million.
The GMM Group includes GMM, Bavelloni and Techni Waterjet as well as their respective Italian and foreign subsidiaries, which are active in the sectors of machine tools for processing stone, glass and other materials. The company is based in Gravellona Toce, in Italy.
Since Consilium’s entry, the GMM Group has grown from €36 million in revenues and an EBITDA of €5.8 million, to €124 million in revenues and an EBITDA of €12.5 million in 2022.
Consilium is a Milan-based independent asset manager, exclusively dedicated to private equity. The firm manages three closed-end funds with total asset under management of €300 million.
Biesse designs, manufactures and markets a range of woodworking machines and advanced materials computer numerical control machinery. Biesse is listed on the Euronext STAR Milan segment.
