CVC Capital-backed Gridspertise snaps up Aidon

Aidon is a Nordic smart grid service provider.

Gridspertise, jointly owned and controlled by CVC Capital Partners and Enel Grids, has acquired 100 percent of Aidon, a Nordic smart grid service provider, from its current shareholders Alder Fund I, 2VK Invest, Suomen Teollisuussijoitus and minority shareholders.

Aidon is based in Finland. It will continue to operate as a stand-alone company under Gridspertise ownership.

This transaction will enable Aidon to strengthen its international presence through the new ownership, according to Tommi Blomberg, CEO of Aidon.

CVC acquired 50 percent of Gridspertise in 2022.

Gridspertise is a grid intelligent devices and end-to-end cloud-edge platform service provider based in Italy.

CVC is a private equity and investment advisory firm headquartered in Luxembourg.
