DBAG sells R+S Group to NOKERA

R+S is a group of companies in the fields of sustainable supply technology, digital and energy-efficient services.

  • DBAG will partially invest the proceeds from the sale in a minority stake in NOKERA
  • DBAG acquired a majority stake in R+S in March 2021
  • NOKERA is a producer of buildings in serial and sustainable construction

Deutsche Beteiligungs (DBAG) will sell its investment in R+S Group, a group of companies in the fields of sustainable supply technology, digital and energy-efficient services for sustainable building systems, trade and skilled labour, to NOKERA.

R+S is headquartered in Fulda, Germany.

The proceeds from the sale will exceed the fair value of DBAG’s investment in its latest half-yearly financial report. The disposal will therefore lead to an increase in net income from investment activity of around €14 million euros in the current third quarter of the FY23, according to a release.

DBAG will partially invest the proceeds from the sale in a minority stake in NOKERA, according to a release.

DBAG acquired a majority stake in R+S in March 2021. The firm invested around €18 million euros in R+S.

“The expansion of our investment strategy to invest exclusively with funds from our own balance sheet has opened up additional investment opportunities for us,” said Jannick Hunecke, member of DBAG’s board of management.

The closing of the transaction is still subject to regulatory approval.

NOKERA is a producer of buildings in serial and sustainable construction. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland.

DBAG, based in Frankfurt, Germany, is a private equity firm that focuses on mid-market companies in the DACH region.
