Equistone’s portfolio company, Andra Tech Group aquired a majority stake in precision metalworking company Mayer Feintechnik. The company is the sixth business and first in Germany to join Andra Tech Group.
Göttingen-based Mayer Feintechnik manufactures precision parts and modules for sectors including optics, lasers, medtech and semiconductors.
Andra Tech Group, headquartered in Oss in The Netherlands, is a manufacturer of “high-tech” precision parts and modules. Its customer base includes the semiconductor market and aerospace, transport, packaging, food and medical industries.
As a result of the acquisition, Mayer Feintechnik will be “well placed to meet the increasing customer demand” for its products and supporting processes, such as cleanroom services, according to Equistone.
“With Mayer Feintechnik, ATG has gained another highly professional partner. The acquisition not only accelerates ATG’s market entry in Germany but also creates a platform to support further acquisitions and geographical expansion in this highly attractive customer market,” said Philipp Gauß, investment manager in Equistone’s Munich office.
London-headquartered Equistone is an an independent investment firm, which operates across Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
