GCP turns to VFX with investment in Electric Theatre Collective

Growth Capital Partners (GCP) has invested in Electric Theatre Collective (ETC), a visual effects (VFX) and animation company.

London-based ETC’s clients include Apple and Coca-Cola.

GCP’s investment will enable ETC to expand the global presence from its base in London to North America and Europe, according to a release.

“Its people, culture, world class creativity and craftsmanship, and artist-focused proprietary technology platform underpin ETC’s unrivalled reputation for delivering outstanding work for its clients, including on their most high-profile and challenging projects,” said Kirsty McDonald, partner, and James Handley, director, GCP.

GCP is a private equity firm that invests in technology and services. It is based in London.

No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
