HIG Capital exits German recycling specialists Der Grüne Punkt

Luxembourg-based Circular Resources has completed the purchase of Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland (DSD).

HIG Capital announced it has completed the exit of Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland (DSD). Luxembourg-based Circular Resources has bought the company. Circular Resources provides services for global corporations to meet their need for recycled plastics.

The deal will see Circular Resources create a large-scale provider of solutions for the circular economy in Europe. Der Grüne Punkt was founded in 1990 and set up the dual system in 1991 (DSD). It is headquartered in Cologne. The company provides sustainable packaging and recycling services.

Miami-headquartered HIG Capital is a global investor with over $49 billion in assets under management.
