- Paris-headquartered Keensight is a pan-European growth buyout firm
- Main Capital invested in Onventis in 2019
- Onventis’ management team will stay in place
Keensight Capital has acquired Onventis, a cloud procurement company, as Main Capital Partners exits the company.
Onventis, headquartered in Stuttgart, was established in 2000, and offers cloud-based procurement products for the middle markets of Germany, Benelux, and the Nordic countries.
Keensight will aim to help Onventis develop into an international mid-market SaaS provider.
“We have identified this company as a leading cloud procurement provider, and Onventis’ already prominent market positioning, strong brand and attractive profile have convinced us of the company’s high caliber,” said Yuri Mikhalev, partner at Keensight Capital.
Onventis’ management team will stay in place and will invest alongside Keensight Capital.
Main had acquired a strategic stake in Onventis in 2019. Since then, Onventis has taken a local presence in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Austria.
The firm also saw its overall revenues rise by over two-fold. During Main’s investment period, the firm assisted Onventis in two acquisitions in the spend analytics and invoice management space.
“The company has developed very promisingly in the last years, and we are proud to have supported Onventis with two highly strategic acquisitions that significantly enhance the customer value proposition,” said Sven van Berge Henegouwen, managing partner at Main Capital.
Keensight Capital, based in Paris, is a European growth buyout firm that focuses on companies with revenues in the range of €10 million to €400 million.
The Hague-headquartered Main Capital is a private equity firm that invests in software companies. The firm manages more than €2.2 billion in assets and has an active portfolio of 40 software companies. It employs 60 people and has offices in Stockholm, Düsseldorf, Antwerp, and US (Boston).
