LBK Capital has acquired 100 percent of the shares of US Triestina Calcio 1918, an Italian soccer club.
Triestina is based in Trieste within Northern Italy.
No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
LBK plans to invest across all areas to enhance Triestina’s brand, competitive positioning and overall enterprise value, according to a release.
“With a new management team and strengthened financial position, Triestina will be well positioned to build on its storied history and start competing at a higher level in the years to come,” said Ben Rosenzweig, LBK managing partner and incoming chairman and president of Triestina.
Alex Menta, who is joining as general manager, will lead the team and will oversee all aspects of club operations.
Menta joins Triestina from Venezia FC.
