LDC-backed Aspire acquires managed service provider Cloud Cover IT

Aspire Technology Solutions, which is backed by LDC, has acquired Glasgow-based Cloud Cover IT, a managed service provider. No financial terms were disclosed.

Aspire is a UK-based cybersecurity and workplace managed service provider.

As part of this investment, Cloud Cover IT will become a part of the Aspire group and its software development and business applications division will be rebranded as “Flyte.”

On the transaction, Chris Fraser, Aspire CEO and founder said in a statement, “Our acquisition of Cloud Cover IT marks a new and exciting chapter for both companies. This move will strengthen our presence in Scotland, positioning us in a thriving market.”

Aspire was established in 2006.

Based in London, LDC invests in a variety of sectors that include travel, technology, media, telecommunications, retail, support services, consumer, industrial and healthcare. The private equity firm was founded in 1981.
