LDC promotes Aylesh Patel, Chris Baker to partner level

Aylesh Patel will now become partner and head of South at LDC.

  • Chris Baker was previously an investment director in LDC’s South team
  • James Garland was promoted to investment director and Francesca Speke to investment manager level
  • LDC is the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group

LDC has announced a series of promotions across its team in the South and London, which includes Aylesh Patel and Chris Baker’s promotion to partners.

Patel will now serve as partner and head of South, based out of the Reading office. He was previously an investment director in LDC’s London team and will replace Lawrence Dean, who is leaving the firm.

Baker, who was previously an investment director in LDC’s South team,  joined LDC in 2015.

Additionally, James Garland and Francesca Speke were promoted to investment director and investment manager, respectively.

Garland served as an investment manager in the Southwest and Wales team. He will relocate from LDC’s Bristol office to Reading. Earlier, Speke worked as an investment executive in LDC’s London team.

LDC is the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, headquartered in London.
