Main Capital Partners announced today that it has bought a majority stake in Dutch software solutions provider Avinty. Oldenzaal-headquartered Avinty has been in the healthcare sector for over 25 years and providers software solutions for healthcare institutions and professionals.

The partnership with Main aims to accelerate growth via strategic add-on acquisitions to deepen Avinty’s product offering and further roll-out of new products. The company provides software to more than 400 customers in the Netherlands and Belgium with more than 65,000 healthcare professionals using it daily.

Main Capital Partners is a Dutch private equity firm headquartered in The Hague. It targets enterprise software companies in the Benelux, DACH and Nordics regions and has over €2.2 billion in assets under management.

“Healthcare is a market with an increasing need for efficient and consistent quality improvement,” said Sjoerd Aarts, senior investment manager at Main Capital Partners. “Digitisation offers a concrete solution to this problem that increases both quality and efficiency. Avinty is active with high-quality software solutions that support the care process, freeing up time for care providers, providing better care to patients and reducing cost pressure. Partly due to the increasing demand for care in combination with rising costs, optimisation of these processes will become increasingly important in the future.”

Avinty, which was founded in 1994, was established by merging healthcare software providers Karify, Jouw Omgeving, Impulse, VIR e-care solutions, NederCare and AppNormal. It has four offices in the Netherlands and has approximately 250 employees.

“We are proud of our results at Avinty, which was established by combining several specialised healthcare software providers,” said Onno Verstegen, CEO of Avinty. “In the last few years, the group of entrepreneurs behind Avinty has further expanded its ecosystem and made a difference in the Dutch healthcare and ICT landscape. The results achieved will be continued through our partnership with Main Capital Partners. We are convinced that Main, with its specialist experience in the software market and in healthcare, is the right partner for the successful further development of our ecosystem.”
