Marlin Equity Partners-backed Puzzel has added another piece, announcing it has acquired S2 Communications. S2 is headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden and is a digital-first provider of outbound campaign management and sales functionality services. S2 will be merged with Oslo, Norway-based Puzzel, a cloud-based contact centre service provider. The deal expands Puzzel’s footprint in the Nordics and particularly in Sweden.

“The addition of S2 strengthens Puzzel’s existing portfolio of cloud contact center solutions,” said Mike Wilkinson, a managing director at Marlin. “We look forward to further investing in the combined company’s leading [content centre as a service (CCaaS)] platform to better serve the European contact center market.”

“We are looking forward to partnering with a leader in the CCaaS space and believe we can further accelerate Puzzel’s recent growth journey in a market where customer experience is becoming increasingly important,” said Morgan Sandberg, CEO and founder of S2.

Marlin, headquartered in Hermosa Beach, California, is a global investment firm with over $8.1 billion in assets under management. Marlin has completed over 200 acquisitions across the software, technology, healthcare, services and industrial technology sectors. Marlin acquired Puzzel in 2019.

The deal follows on from Marlin’s acquisition of AI-based employee skills platform People-Analytix, as covered by PE Hub Europe.
