Montefiore Investment has sold its majority stake in Gandi, a French domain name registrar, web hosting company and provider of email and SSL certificates, to Total Webhosting Solutions (TWS). No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
Gandi employs 150 people on three continents and is headquartered in Paris.
Gandi and TWS have merged both the companies to create Your.Online, a European online services platform.
Your.Online will serve more than one million customers across Europe and the US. The firm is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Montefiore Investment was a majority shareholder in Gandi since 2019. During this period, the firm has seen a rise in its revenue by an average of 10 percent per year to exceed €50 million in 2022, according to a release. The firm also saw a two-fold increase in its EBITDA.
“For four years, we have worked hand in hand to accelerate the growth of the business, notably with key accounts, develop new innovative products, and improve profitability,” said Daniel Elalouf, managing director & partner at Montefiore Investment. “As a result, the company has considerably strengthened its position in France and abroad.”
Montefiore Investment is the reference investor for small and medium-size service companies in France. The firm is headquartered in Paris and has more than €2.5 billion in assets under management. It invests between €20 million and €200 million per company.
