Nordic Capital-backed Conscia picks up ethcon and lifecon

Conscia, a portfolio company of Nordic Capital, has acquired ethcon and lifecon, two German ICT companies.

No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

Ethcon is a specialised system house and services provider for IT and telecommunications operating throughout Germany. It is based in Munich.

Lifecon is a ICT consulting company and is based in Munich.

The acquisition strengthens the core portfolio of Conscia’s products and services as well as IT consulting know-how and adds scale to accelerate growth in the German market, according to a release.

“During recent years we have demonstrated double digit organic growth rates and before that successfully executed 14 acquisitions since 2013,” said Erik Bertman, CEO, Conscia.

Conscia’s acquisitions in Germany follow an investment in Miradot in early May.

Nordic Capital acquired Conscia in 2019.

Ethcon and lifecon are the second and third acquisition from Conscia Group this year.

Conscia expands its German organisation, effective 1 August, with over 40 percent adding around 50 IT professionals to the 120 IT and administrative specialists in Conscia Germany/xevIT.

Conscia Germany/xevIT and ethcon will operate under the Conscia Germany brand from October, whereas lifecon will continue under its present name as an independent consulting company.

Conscia is a European IT company in networking, cyber security, and cloud providing secure infrastructure services. The company, based in Brøndby, Denmark, has an annual turnover of around €440 million.
