Learndirect, backed by Queen’s Park Equity (QPE), has acquired LEAP Academy, a provider of accredited online qualifications in health and fitness.
No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
LEAP Academy has employees in Oxford, London, Bath, Sheffield and Bournemouth in UK.
LEAP courses will now be offered as part of a new health and fitness faculty alongside qualifications offered by The Training Room, according to a release.
QPE supported learndirect’s MBO in August 2020.
“We’re thrilled to be further supporting Wayne and the learndirect team with their fifth follow-on investment as they continue to develop their online training offering across multiple faculties,” said Jason Birt, QPE.
This follow-on investment comes after learndirect’s acquisition of The Training Room in June.
