Silver Lake has agreed to acquire a €600 million minority stake in TeamSystem, a provider of business software products to companies and accountants in Italy and Spain, from Hellman & Friedman (H&F).
TeamSystem is based in Pesaro, Italy. The company reported a turnover of around €700 million in 2022.
H&F will remain the majority shareholder in TeamSystem.
H&F first invested in TeamSystem in 2016.
TeamSystem’s customers increased from 200,000 to around 1.8 million after H&F’s initial investment, according to a release.
“Management’s strong commitment to technological leadership, customer-centric approach, and drive for best-in-class innovation are qualities we value highly and have invested behind consistently in support of cloud software leaders across Europe, making TeamSystem an ideal fit for Silver Lake,” said Christian Lucas, co-head of EMEA at Silver Lake.
The transaction is expected to close during the end of the year, subject to regulatory approvals.
Silver Lake is a global technology investment firm, with over $95 billion in combined assets under management. The firm is based in Menlo Park, California.
H&F is a global private equity firm based in San Francisco. the firm has over $85 billion in assets under management as of 31 December 2022.
