Spectrum Equity invests in Netcraft

Spectrum Equity has invested over $100 million in Netcraft, a provider of cybercrime detection, disruption, and takedowns services.

Netcraft is based in Bath, England.

Spectrum Equity’s investment will help accelerate the company’s strategic plans to drive growth and expand globally, according to a release.

“Netcraft has blocked more than 173 million malicious attacks and takes down more than 15 million cyberattacks each year,” said Parag Khandelwal, MD of Spectrum Equity. “Netcraft takes down roughly one-third of all global phishing attacks on behalf of its customers.”

Netcraft has also appointed Ryan Woodley as its new CEO. Prior to this, he was CEO of Progressive Leasing.
