Thoma Bravo heads to London with Irina Hemmers at the helm

Irina Hemmers will join Thoma Bravo from Inflexion as a partner with a mandate to lead and grow the new London office.

Thoma Bravo announced on Tuesday that it will be expanding its European presence with the opening of an office in London. The office will be the firm’s hub for UK and European deals with the firm looking for greater access to Europe’s software and technology companies.

Irina Hemmers will head the new office and will join Thoma Bravo as a partner. Hemmers will join from Inflexion, where she led the technology investment team as partner and head of technology. Before that, Hemmers was a partner at Apax Partners.

Thoma Bravo is a private equity firm that looks to invest in software and technology companies. The firm is headquartered in Chicago. It has completed nearly 400 transactions and had assets under management of $114 billion as of March 31.
