- Svancar will be based in Verdane’s London office

Verdane announced on Thursday that Helena Svancar has joined the firm as partner. Svancar will be based in Verdane’s London office.
Svancar was previously head of M&A at Ericsson, the Swedish telecommunications technology company, and spent 10 years at Deutsche Bank, where she was head of corporate finance Nordics. Svancar also serves on the boards of several publicly listed companies including Truecaller.
“With her in-depth knowledge of the latest developments in the exciting field of communications technology combined with decades of M&A experience, Helena will bring a wealth of valuable networks and expertise to Verdane and the companies we back across Europe,” said Bjarne Kveim Lie, co-founder and managing partner at Verdane. “She will also strengthen our senior presence on the ground in the UK market.”

Verdane is an Oslo-headquartered specialist growth equity investment firm that invests in tech-enabled, sustainable European businesses. It invests between €8 million to €150 million with capacity for much larger tickets and manages over €4 billion of committed capital. Verdane funds have returned more than €1.5 billion to investors over the last 18 months.
