Verdane has acquired five German tech companies: Ebertlang, Muegge, R2p-Group, Indevis and The Packaging Group (TPG). The seller is HQ Equita.
HQ Equita will continue to operate independently, supporting the five companies in partnership with Verdane, who will join the board of each company.
This acquisition is Verdane’s 19th investment in the DACH region and follows the opening of Verdane’s second office in Germany earlier this year.
The transaction provides liquidity to LPs and continuity for HQ Equita, along with value creation plans, strategy roadmaps and follow-on capital for each of the five companies and their management teams, according to a release.
Verdane and HQ Equita will work together to scale these assets and plan to explore future M&A opportunities for continuous international growth beyond the DACH region, the release said.
“This is a perfect ‘Verdane portfolio deal’ in the sense that we worked closely with multiple stakeholders: HQ Equita, its longstanding LP base, and the management teams of each individual company in the portfolio,” said Emanuel Johnsson, partner at Verdane.
