SCIRIS has acquired Source Health Economics, marking its sixth acquisition since Waterland Private Equity invested in the firm in 2020.
Source Health Economics, based in London, is a firm specialising in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and has 33 employees.
This acquisition is the most recent development in SCIRIS’ expansion as the firm looks to buy and build opportunities to further its expansion on scientific and commercial expertise on both sides of the Atlantic.
“We see this latest acquisition as an opportunity to access new key markets and increase SCIRIS’ scale in its existing medical communications activity, to broaden client relationships and develop expertise across high growth therapeutic areas,” said Dominic Graham, investment director at Waterland Private Equity. “We are actively looking for further opportunities to acquire specialist service providers in adjacent market segments in the UK and internationally.”
SCIRIS, headquartered in London, employs more than 300 people across the UK and North America. The global healthcare communications company includes: 3 Stories High, Porterhouse Medical Group, Indigo Medical, Wedgewood Communications, Fusion Medical Animation and Source Health Economics.
Headquartered in Bussum in the Netherlands, Waterland is a European private equity investment group that was founded in 1999. Waterland UK made eight platform investments and 50 bolt-on acquisitions in the last six years.
